DISCOVER THE MAGIC OF STARGAZING AT ROQUE DE LOS MUCHACHOS
A Journey to the Stars! The spectacular sky of La Palma is protected by the Canary Islands Sky Law to preserve the darkness of the night and allow us to enjoy our magnificent starry skies. With this tour, you can contemplate one of the best skies, both day and night.
Our destination will be the Roque de Los Muchachos viewpoint at 2426 meters above sea level. This natural enclave is also home to the Roque de Los Muchachos Astrophysical Observatory (ORM), one of the world’s most prestigious centers for scientific research, boasting a comprehensive array of telescopes, most notably the Gran Telescopio Canarias, currently the largest optical-infrared telescope on the planet.
Witnessing the sunset at the summit of La Palma is quite a spectacle: above the clouds and with the feeling of touching the sky, we can enjoy an unforgettable gift that we will accompany with a glass of La Palma wine.
In the darkness of night, at a nearby astronomical viewpoint, we’ll embark on a journey to the stars. Our team of Starlight guides will begin with a laser-guided tour of the stars and constellations. You’ll also have the opportunity to discover, with our own 11-inch Celestron telescope, star systems, star clusters, nebulae, and galaxies beyond our own. If the moon and/or planets are visible at that time, we’ll visit them as well.
Come and enjoy the peace of mind and safety offered by our buses and experienced drivers. You won’t have to drive at night; we’ll take you there.

- Astronomical tours may be canceled due to weather conditions such as high clouds, wind, or snow/ice. In such cases, you have the option of rescheduling during your stay or receiving a full refund. If there are any changes due to weather or similar circumstances, we will notify you on the same day via the phone number used for your reservation.
- Warm clothing, closed-toe shoes, and long trousers are essential year-round.
- The tour start time may be adjusted as it depends on sunset.
- Nighttime astronomical tours do not take place inside the Roque de Los Muchachos Observatory, as it is closed to the public at night.
On full moons, the activity cannot be carried out as the moonlight will affect the visibility of other celestial bodies.
